In 2017, WWE took notice of Big Damo’s potential and signed him to their developmental territory, NXT. Under the new ring name Killian Dain, he became part of the infamous faction known as SAnitY teaming up with Eric Young, Nikki Cross and Alexander Wolfe (Axel Tischer).

After several years with WWE, Killian Dain’s journey took an unexpected turn in 2021 when he parted ways with the company. However, true to his resilient spirit, Big Damo did not stay away from the wrestling scene for long. In 2022 Big Damo made a triumphant return to PROGRESS Wrestling, much to the delight of the fans all around the world.

Big Damo made his PROGRESS Wrestling return in 2022 appearing in the PROGRESS ATLAS tournament only coming up short to Luke Jacobs, who went on to become the tournament’s eventual winner.

Damo then competed in Chapter 133, Stop Motion Skeleton Battle, where he teamed up with former SAnitY tag team partner Axel Tischer (Alexander Wolfe). They faced Love Island star Adam Maxted and Joe Hendry who is currently signed to IMPACT. Joe Hendry is currently the IMPACT Digital Media Championship in 2023.

Big Damo then went on to compete in Super Strong Style 16 in 2022 in a packed tournament in which he took on Dean Allmark and Warren Banks.

At Chapter 137, The Deadly Viper Tour: CODENAME: COPPERHEAD,  Big Damo would make history beating Chris Ridgeway to become the NEW PROGRESS Men’s World Champion. Big Damo made PROGRESS History by winning the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship for the first time outside of the PROGRESS Wrestling home venue, London and specifically the Electric Ballroom.

Towards the end of the match, The Vulture of PROGRESS Wrestling, Spike Trivet, used the key to cash in his title shot against Big Damo. Spike Trivet was successful with his cash in and became the new PROGRESS Men’s World Champion leaving the feud between Big Damo and Spike Trivet to continue further.

At Chapter 142, CODENAME: CALIFORNIA MOUNTAIN SNAKE, Big Damo made PROGRESS History again by defeating Luke Jacobs to become the NEW PROGRESS ATLAS Champion. Big Damo became the fastest wrestler in PROGRESS History to gain both the ATLAS Championship & the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship in such a short space of time.
