Nico Angelo was the final qualifier for the NPS 8 (Natural Progression Series) semi-finals, where he is set to face Tate Mayfairs at Chapter 145: Wrestling Witch Face – Trick Or Treat for a chance to progress to the finals. After his battle with ‘Just’ Joe Lando we caught up with him to get his thoughts on that match and what lies beyond with Tate Mayfairs.

‘Joe Lando put up a hell of a fight, he’s agile, very, very agile and that used to be me. Don’t get me wrong I can still move, I can still do what I need to win. But the change in me is happening and everyone can see the change in me is happening. I’m here to brawl, I’m here to throw people around. That is me now, that is Nico. If I go to the top, I’m running out of options, that is what I have to do to win. But Joe Lando, he is simply fantastic.

‘Tate… Now Tate just sticks around here like a bad smell. Nobody wants him here, he kind of enforces it on people, he’s like a horrible taste. It’s like if you’ve had a coffee with bad milk, he’s that taste. It’s a taint. That’s what Tate is. He’s a taint on something good… Taint Mayfairs. Don’t get me wrong, I respect him as a competitor, and I’ve faced him before, not here, but elsewhere and he is a good competitor. I’ve just got to keep my wits about me, as I’ve seen what he does with those brass knuckles of his and I will be keeping aware for it.’
