As we gear up for Chapter 175 – Unboxing VII: The Curtain Call, let us take a
moment to reflect on Vendetta 2 – a show that may have just set the bar for
PROGRESS Wrestling. Here is a breakdown of the top-tier action, unforgettable
moments, and compelling stories that made Vendetta 2 arguably the best
PROGRESS show to date:

The Main Event – A Battle for the Ages
Luke Jacobs retained over Leon Slater in a classic for the PROGRESS World
Championship

The youngest in charge, Leon Slater, took the fight to the reigning champion Jacobs
in a brutal, high-octane match which was the culmination of months of hatred.
Despite interference from Man Like Dereiss and Ethan Allen, Jacobs retained his title
with a crucifix pin and left everyone in attendance in disbelief. But make no mistake –
Leon Slater proved without a shadow of a doubt that he will remain in the main event
scene for a long time.

Trent Seven comes up short to RKJ in his Long-Awaited Return

After five years, the veteran Trent Seven made his highly anticipated return to
Progress to take on Ricky Knight Jr.

In a physical clash, the two competitors traded heavy blows and submission holds.
Both men stamped this match-up with respect, gamesmanship, and of course the
British Strong Style. Intensity proved crucial for the hungry up-and-comer RKJ, as he
came away with a monumental victory. Seven announced after the match that he is
far from done in PROGRESS, signalling more to come from the seasoned superstar.

Simon Miller’s First Proteus Championship Title Defence ends in
disappointment for Munny’s family

In an entertaining match full of twists, turns & comedic moments, Simon Miller
successfully escaped with his Proteus Championship against Gene Munny, Session
Moth, and Will Kroos.

Despite insurmountable odds stacked against him, Miller showed why he earned the
right to be the “People’s champion”.

Man Like Dereiss vs. Ethan Allen – A Rivalry Reaches a Boiling Point

Fuelled by rage, The Lyrical Dragon sought revenge on Ethan Allen for costing him
his shot at the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship.

The match was pure chaos, spilling outside the ring and ending in a count-out after
both men continued brawling, even after the bell rang. PROGRESS security had to
intervene to separate them, so this feud is far from over.

Nina Samuels path to the Women’s World Championship continues with Kanji
victory

Nina Samuels defeated Kanji in a gritty contest to stake her claim for a chance at
Rhio and her mammoth title reign.
After the match, Samuels continued her assault on Kanji’s injured wrist, sending a
clear message to the champion and seemingly eliminating Kanji from her path to
glory.

Connor Mills & Nico Angelo – A Tag Team to Watch

Connor Mills and Nico Angelo, two technically proficient competitors, teamed up to
take down Lykos Gym. Their definitive victory over the experienced duo established
them as a new force to be reckoned with in Progress’ Tag team division. Watch out
for these two.

Subculture vs. SAnitY – Clash of Styles

In a thrilling tag team encounter, Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan
Webster) went up against SAnitY (Axel Tischer & Big Damo).

Both teams have a wealth of experience and the high-flying Subculture pushed
Sanity to the limit, but in the end, Sanity’s sheer size and power proved too much,
securing them a big win as they seek to return to the PROGRESS tag team summit.

Emersyn Jayne Stuns Lana Austin

Emersyn Jayne used Lana Austin’s arrogance against her to score a career defining
win with a roll-up. Although, just as Jayne extended a handshake, Austin retaliated
with a brutal low blow. However, Rayne Leverkusen, who had been taunted
throughout the match, made the save, ensuring Austin did not have the last laugh.
