New champions were crowned and old rivalries were renewed as PROGRESS Wrestling headed back to Manchester for an action-packed Chapter 191: For the Love of PROGRESS 4!

Shotzi Blackheart returned to PROGRESS Wrestling in blockbuster fashion after overcoming Lana Austin in a pulsating Super Strong Style 16 first-round clash. Austin was accompanied to the ring by her very best friend, Holly Barlow, which was a first year anniversary for the duo since they became besties.

However, it wasn’t an anniversary to remember as Blackheart, a former champion in WWE who claimed the win over ‘The Queen of Mean,’ Austin, to reach May Bank Holiday’s highly anticipated showpiece event.

Remaining in the Women’s division, a new champion was crowned as Session Moth Martina became the new Pro Wrestling Cyprus Ladies title defeating Melissa Fierce, as she firmly put behind her the disappointment of not advancing in the Super Strong Style 16 tournament earlier this year.

This wasn’t Martina’s only contribution of the night, as she accompanied Kouga to the ring for his match against Sam Bailey, prior to her title match, with Bailey coming out as the winner.

Meanwhile, there was a huge statement victory for Manchester lads, The Young Guns (Ethan Allen and Luke Jacobs) who successfully downed Sanity (Big Damo and Axel Tischer) in a number one contenders tag team match. Young Guns’ reward for their triumph is a showdown with Diamond Eyes at an upcoming show..

Spike Trivet was aiming to return to winning ways, but it was not to be for The Sovereign Lord, as he lost out to long-time rival Kid Lykos.

To bring the curtain down on another memorable show, PROGRESS Men’s World Champion, Man Like Dereiss, was aiming to respond after his shock pinning at Chapter: 190: In Brightest Day. He teamed up with Simon Miller and Charles Crowley to face Saxon Huxley, Jack Morris and Bullit.

In the final match on the card, fans were treated to unmissable excitement, with the team of Dereiss, Miller and Crowley earning the win to close off a memorable night in the North West.
