Crowley ahead of Noir clash!

Charles Crowley has sent a warning to Cara Noir ahead of their bout at Chapter 192: Cause and Effect on Sunday!

PROGRESS fan favourite Crowley will face off against Noir in a highly anticipated Men’s Singles showdown at Camden’s Electric Ballroom this weekend.

The match up between the two wrestlers is an intriguing contest of styles, with Crowley aiming to continue his winning run at PROGRESS which also includes victories against Drew Parker at Chapter 190: In Brightest Day, and being part of the winning Tag Team alongside Man Like Dereiss and Simon Miller, where they defeated Bullit, Jack Morris and Saxon Huxley at Chapter 191: For the Love of PROGRESS 4.

Crowley told progresswrestling.com: “I’m not looking forward to it at all, I’m nonplussed. I haven’t got his attention, and I don’t love that. If you don’t have Cara’s attention, you don’t get all his energy. I’m not a story beat for someone else, I’m Charles Crowley. I think it’ll be a relatively easy match, the swan’s still focused on Dereiss. A Swan has the strength to break your arm, but if it’s distracted, then I’d be a very poor wrestler if I couldn’t easily capitalise on that.

“It’s a cliche in wrestling to say ‘I do it for the fans’ and for a very long time I’d hear that and eye roll until it became my reality. I’m a very solo individual, I travel alone, I live alone, the journey in wrestling is a lonely one. I have no one to share the highs and lows with, except the crowd.

“The PROGRESS fans watch, listen and care so intently. Whether they like what they see or not, that’s up to them but they care for sure and that gives me reason to go out there and do my very best.”

Crowley, who will be one of the contenders to battle it out at Super Strong Style 16’s action-packed showpiece at the Electric Ballroom on May Bank Holiday, recently overcame Tucker in the first-round to reach this stage at Rixe/BZW Fan Pass VII in Dreux, France – with SSS16 a truly global event.

Having missed out on the 2025 tournament, Crowley is raring to go in his bid to be crowned Super Strong Style 16 champion.

He added: “Strong Style simply existing has changed the way I train and the way I wrestle. Previous years it has pushed me but this year, I’ve never been more committed to getting to the finals.

“Once I’m there, whether I can win or not will be clear to me. I’m self-aware, I know what I’m capable of now, it’s just time to show it.”
