Dean Allmark returns to PROGRESS Wrestling against Kouga… the new name for Owadasan.
Dean Allmark described returning to PROGRESS on Sunday as a “personal victory” despite being defeated in his first match following recent surgery.

It was the first time in over two-years that Allmark was competing at PROGRESS, when he faced Kouga in a pre-show bonus showdown ahead of Chapter 186: Noisy Neighbours at Manchester’s O2 Ritz.
Dean competed in a bonus match for Hooked On Wrestling TV against Kouga formally known as Owadasan, from Noah in Japan, he was pleased to be back in a wrestling ring following recent surgery on two slipped discs in his spine at the 02 Ritz in Manchester.
Allmark told progresswrestling.com: “It’s been a really long journey. This has been three years of being injured with my two slipped discs in my spine.
“Obviously I had my surgery seven or eight weeks ago, this is my first match back, and I didn’t come out with the victory, but I felt like it was a personal victory to go in there, fight hard and to have a really good match.”
Allmark’s PROGRESS return felt like he was “coming home” as he thanked the fans for their support and teased that there is more to come.
He added: “It felt like coming home, and PROGRESS fans haven’t seen the last of me, I’ll be back better than ever.
“Thank you to the PROGRESS fans for the support over the last two-and-a-half years, thank you for the support over the last seven or eight weeks after my surgery.
“It means the world to me, and it feels so good to be back.”
Lee McAteer added: “Dean Allmark is British wrestling royalty and we are so happy that he has been able to return to PROGRESS Wrestling post surgery. I am excited for people to see first hand on Hooked On Wrestling TV, how good the match really is. Welcome back Deano.
