Dereiss wants revenge against Kid Lykos at Chapter 192!

PROGRESS Men’s World Champion Man Like Dereiss has fired a warning to Kid Lykos ahead of their showdown at Chapter 192: Cause and Effect.
Dereiss will step into the ring against Lykos on Sunday 29th March when PROGRESS Wrestling returns to Camden’s iconic Electric Ballroom.
It will be the first time that Dereiss and Lykos will go up against each other in the ring since the World Champion was controversially pinned at Chapter 190: In Brightest Day following a thrilling Tag Team clash which saw Lykos Gym down Dereiss and Michael Oku.
Now, Dereiss is out for revenge against the man who pinned him as he aims to successfully defend his World Championship Title belt.
Having wrestled Lykos on many occasions throughout his career, Dereiss is anticipating a fierce yet highly emotional battle.
Dereiss told progresswrestling.com: “The thing with Kid Lykos, we’ve known each other for a very long time and we first came up together in the British and European Wrestling era for seven or so years. We’ve regularly wrestled against each other, we’ve wrestled each other in every single capacity of wrestling, so I feel like it’s a very personal one for me.
“His attitude has changed as of late, but I know in there, he’s still my brother so I’ve got mixed feelings towards how I’m going to go into the fight, however it’s one of the biggest fights in European wrestling right now and I’m not planning on losing.
“I feel like Kid Lykos wants to take advantage, he wants to use a body snatch, a weapon in his arm which has now apparently been banned, I’m ready for anything that Kid Lykos throws at me.
“I don’t need to play dirty because I know that I can beat him with pure technique and skill, I don’t need to lower myself to his level, he must bring himself up to mine.
“Kid Lykos Is a fantastic wrestler, he’s a former World PROGRESS Champion, he’s been wrestling for about 15 years and he’s a very talented individual.
“He has one of the best minds that I have ever worked with.  It his attitude which is the problem, which will be his downfall, he’s a fantastic wrestler, it’s just a shame it’s had to come to this.”
It promises to be an unmissable clash between two PROGRESS heavyweights. Will Dereiss retain or Lykos reclaim?…
Dereiss is excited to get back to the Ballroom, a venue which is a favourite, as he prepares to take on a ‘formidable opponent’ in Lykos.
He added: “The Ballroom is one of my favourite venues in wrestling. I’ve had the luxury of wrestling all over the world,  from America to Europe and not much compares to a bouncing Ballroom.
“As usual I’ll be bouncing around with the energy of the audience and the crowd which will push me through such big, big matches.
“It’s the biggest title match I’ve had so far for PROGRESS World Champion. I’ve got a formidable opponent, and I know he’s dangerous as he’s proved in the past, and the 12th man in football terms is the Electric Ballroom crowd for me!”
