Few names have shone as brightly as Rhio in the modern history of PROGRESS Wrestling. From her humble beginnings at the Peckham Theatre to becoming one of the promotion’s most beloved and decorated performers, her journey is a story of grit, growth, and greatness.

Rhio’s wrestling career began at a local training school, where her natural athleticism and relentless drive quickly set her apart. That same passion soon carried her to the attention of PROGRESS Wrestling, where she made her debut in 2021 and began building a legacy few could rival.

She made an early impact by winning the Divine Love tournament, defeating three of PROGRESS’s best and signalling her intent to dominate the women’s division. From there, Rhio became a cornerstone of the promotion, known for her fighting spirit and technically sound, hard-hitting style. Whether battling Trish Adora, Mercedes Blaze, Laura Di Matteo, or Kanji, Rhio brought intensity and heart to every match.

Her defining moment came in 2023 when she won the PROGRESS Women’s World Championship. After earning the opportunity by triumphing in a Thunderbastard match in January, she finally unlocked her title shot in October, defeating Lana Austin in a historic clash. Rhio’s reign as champion was nothing short of extraordinary, lasting an incredible 434 days—a testament to her resilience, consistency, and dominance.

During this reign, Rhio further solidified her place in history by being chosen as Meiko Satomura’s final opponent in PROGRESS. The honour of facing a legend of Satomura’s calibre symbolised the respect and recognition Rhio had earned throughout her rise.

Her reign eventually came to an end at the hands of Nina Samuels in December 2024 at Chapter 175: Unboxing VII, bringing a close to one of the most celebrated championship tenures in the promotion’s history. However, Rhio’s story was far from over.

At Chapter 180: Super Strong Style 16, Rhio faced Samuels once again—this time in a high-stakes Title vs. Career match. In a thrilling, emotionally charged encounter, Rhio overcame adversity and reclaimed the PROGRESS Women’s World Championship, securing her place as one of the few to hold the title more than once.

Rhio’s career in PROGRESS Wrestling stands as a beacon of what can be achieved through passion, dedication, and sheer will. Her legacy is not only defined by her titles and victories but by the way she elevated everyone she stepped into the ring with. As she continues to represent the North West Strong ethos, Rhio remains an inspiration to fans and a standard-bearer for the next generation.
