Will Kroos

The Journey

Will Kroos has carved out a name for himself in PROGRESS Wrestling not just as a powerhouse, but as a rising star determined to forge his own legacy, one massive boot, one crushing clothesline at a time.

Kroos first stepped into PROGRESS Wrestling at Chapter 132: By The Beard Of Zeus in April 2022, competing in a triple threat elimination match during the Atlas Title Tournament. Though he didn’t emerge victorious, his sheer physicality left an impression and laid the groundwork for his future in the promotion.

It wasn’t until 2024 that Kroos began gaining serious momentum, this time as one-half of Mothdog, an unorthodox yet entertaining tag team alongside Gene Munny. The duo quickly became fan favourites, combining Munny’s charisma with Kroos’ brute strength. At Chapter 172: Werewolves of London, they scored a notable victory over Sunshine Machine (Chuck Mambo & TK Cooper), cementing their place as serious contenders in the tag division.

Kroos and Munny challenged for the PROGRESS Tag Team Titles at Chapter 175: Unboxing VII, in a thrilling three-way match against champions Smokin’ Aces and the team of Jerry Bakewell & Simon Miller. Though they came up short, Kroos’ star continued to rise—especially as tensions began to simmer under the surface.

Later that year, Kroos competed in back-to-back multi-person matches for the PROGRESS Proteus Title against Simon Miller. While unsuccessful, these matches gave Kroos a taste of the singles spotlight—and he wanted more.

Everything changed in early 2025. After months of partnership with Gene Munny and Session Moth Martina, Will Kroos made the shocking decision to walk away from The Family and go it alone, much to the fans approval.

His breakout moment came at Chapter 180: Super Strong Style 16 in May 2025. Making his debut in PROGRESS’s most prestigious tournament, Kroos bulldozed his way past Marcus Mathers in the first round, showcasing a more focused, ferocious version of himself. Though he fell to Charlie Sterling in the quarter-finals the following night thanks to interference from his former partners, Kroos proved that he belonged at the top level.

Will Kroos has exploded onto the PROGRESS Wrestling scene in a breakout run that’s defined the Atlas division since late summer 2025.

At Chapter 183: Hundred Volts on 25 August, Kroos came agonisingly close to championship gold in a Triple Threat Match, as Gene Munny overcame both Kroos and then-champion Mike D Vecchio to claim the title.

Refusing to be denied, Kroos stormed back at Chapter 184: Camden Lock Up on 28 September, where he overpowered Munny in just 9 minutes and 33 seconds to become the new PROGRESS Atlas Champion.

Barely catching his breath, Kroos took the title overseas, defending it successfully in Canada at Mystery Wrestling #19 on 19 October against Andy Williams, Bear Bronson, and Gabby Forza in a hard-hitting Four-Way encounter.

Back on home soil, he kept his momentum rolling at Chapter 185: Jump In The Line, where he turned back the challenge of Charles Crowley to retain his championship.

In the space of two months, Will Kroos has transformed from rising contender to a dominant, globe-travelling champion.

With every defence, he cements his place as the powerhouse of the PROGRESS Atlas division and one of the most talked-about names heading into the final stretch of 2025.

From tag team wrestler to Proteus contender to SSS16 competitor, Will Kroos has grown into one of PROGRESS Wrestling’s most dangerous forces. With a renewed focus and nothing holding him back, Kroos is no longer just a rising star, he’s a man on a mission.

One thing is certain: the future of PROGRESS will have to go through Will Kroos, whether they like it or not.
