Adam “Flex” Maxted is a Belfast-born powerhouse who parlayed his Love Island 2016 fame into a full-time wrestling career—never missing a chance to remind audiences: “Don’t hate, appreciate!”

Maxted’s PROGRESS journey began at Chapter 130 (20 March 2022), where he traded strikes and springboard drop-kicks with Gene Munny inside a boisterous Electric Ballroom. One month later at Chapter 133, he teamed with fellow Ulsterman Joe Hendry against the bruising duo of Axel Tischer & Big Damo—eating a Belfast Bomb but staying in the fight until the closing bell. Fast-forward to Chapter 181 (29 June 2025) and Maxted was back centre-stage in a frantic four-way with Charles Crowley, Jack Morris and Simon Miller, showcasing his Flex-Plex suplex and enviable stamina before Crowley stole the pin.

Beyond PROGRESS, Maxted has honed his craft across OTT, ICW and ITV’s World of Sport, even reaching the WOS Tag-Team Tournament final alongside Nathan Cruz in 2018. A former 5-Star Tag Champion and record-setting OTT Gender-Neutral Champion, he couples 6’3″ athleticism with a personal-trainer mindset that keeps the physique—and the brand—on point.

Still chasing his first championship in PROGRESS, Maxted’s blend of Hollywood smile, high-impact offence and that ever-quotable mantra suggests it’s only a matter of time before he flexes gold over his shoulder.
