A graduate of the North West Strong school of hard knocks, Ethan Allen has forged a path through PROGRESS Wrestling with precision grappling, unflinching grit and a heart as fierce as his strikes. Debuting as one half of The Young Guns alongside Luke Jacobs, Allen quickly became a standout in the British wrestling scene. Their chemistry, aggression and tireless work ethic made them one of the most respected young tag teams in the UK.
The Young Guns rose to prominence in the pandemic era of PROGRESS, delivering standout performances throughout the 2021 PROGRESS Tag Team Title Tournament, defeating teams like Sunshine Machine and Ridgeway & Danny Black. Despite falling just short in the final against Lykos Gym at Chapter 112: The Flowers Are Still Standing, their performances earned widespread acclaim.
Allen also impressed in singles competition during this period, facing the likes of Spike Trivet, Warren Banks, and Dean Allmark and engaging in a hard-hitting bout against his own tag partner Jacobs in the Natural Progression Series.
However, Allen’s ascent was interrupted by a significant injury, forcing him out of action for over two years. His absence was keenly felt but his return in late 2024 was where he truly made his mark at the top of the card.
At Chapter 174: VENDETTA 2, Allen reintroduced himself to the PROGRESS faithful with a fierce contest against Man Like DeReiss that ended in a double count-out after Allen re-debuted helping his tag partner Jacobs retain his PROGRESS Men’s World Championship. He reformed The Young Guns and stepped back into the tag team spotlight at Chapter 176, defeating Subculture in a thrilling encounter.
Although they fell to Boisterous Behaviour at Stay Young & Invincible, the performance reminded fans why The Young Guns were so highly regarded.
In 2025, Allen made his debut in the prestigious Super Strong Style 16, battling DeReiss once more in a hard-hitting first-round match at Chapter 180. Though he didn’t advance, he remained a focal point of the weekend, also competing in a star-studded battle royal.
Technically proficient, mentally tough, and brimming with potential, Ethan Allen’s journey is one of resilience and resurgence.
Whether in singles or as part of the Young Guns, Allen continues to cement his place as a cornerstone of the new era in PROGRESS Wrestling – one takedown at a time.
