FIRST ROUND MATCHES CONFIRMED FOR SUPER STRONG STYLE 16 TOURNAMENT

PROGRESS Wrestling today announced the official draw for the first round of theĀ Super Strong Style 16Ā tournament, conducted by renowned comedian and wrestling enthusiastĀ Ed GambleĀ alongside actor and filmmakerĀ Al Ronald.

Since its inception in 2015, Super Strong Style 16 has established itself as one of the premier tournaments in professional wrestling, serving as a proving ground for elite competitors and launching the careers of international stars. Previous winners such as Zack Sabre Jr., Will Ospreay and Aleister Black have gone on to achieve worldwide acclaim, cementing the tournament’s reputation as a career-defining event.

This year’s first round matchups are as follows:

The 2025 edition features a highly competitive field combining PROGRESS mainstays, rising international prospects, and established veterans. Each athlete will compete not only for the Super Strong Style 16 trophy but also for the opportunity to etch their name into the tournament’s prestigious history.

Super Strong Style 16 has traditionally been a launchpad toward championship contention within PROGRESS, with past victors often going on to headline major events worldwide. Expectations are high once again as the first bell approaches.

Also taking place on Sunday 4th May at the Electric Ballroom in Camden is Rhio putting her PROGRESS career on the line against Women’s World Champion Nina Samuels and Cara Noir challenging Luke Jacobs for the Men’s World Championship on Monday 5th May.
