Harley Hudson feels that the introduction of a Women’s Super Strong Style 16 tournament marks an “important” step for PROGRESS Wrestling.
Taking place on the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May 2026 at Camden’s Electric Ballroom, the tournament will include Men’s and Women’s competitions for its next edition.
In a global-first, both male and female stars will be competing, marking a new era for one of the most prestigious competitions in independent wrestling. First-round matches will be held across Europe and North America in early 2026.
For TNA-bound Hudson, who competed in Sunday’s final PROGRESS show of 2025, Chapter 188: UNBOXING VIII – The Search for Socks, she is excited to see a Women’s tournament confirmed.
Hudson told progresswrestling.com: “I think that it’s really good. Watching PROGRESS, there’s so many amazing girls that are on regularly anyway, so it’s great that they will all get to have different matches and mix it up a little bit.
“Also, I think it’s cool that new places might be able to be involved as well, and that’s also really important to go to different places.
“It’s important that the fresh group of girls that are coming through get the chance to show what they can do as well.
“It has also put a lot of pride in the UK indie wrestling as you work with the same girls a lot, so this allows them to have new match-ups, and I’m jealous!”
