MEN’S
Charles Crowley
Charles Crowley will be aiming to show what he is capable of when he enters the highly anticipated Super Strong Style 16 tournament next weekend!
Crowley, a fan favourite at PROGRESS Wrestling since his first appearance in March 2018, is back at SSS16 having missed out on the 2025 edition through injury.
Hungry to give it all in the Super Strong Style 16 battleground, following victory over Tucker in the first-round, Crowley will now set his sights on becoming the champion of one of PROGRESS Wrestling’s landmark events in its calendar.
His PROGRESS journey has always been about battling against the odds and overcoming adversity. Crowley will face Elijah Blum in the quarter-finals at Camden’s Electric Ballroom as he chases the top prize!
Charlie Sterling
Stalwart of British Wrestling Charlie Sterling is back at Super Strong Style 16 for the men’s tournament’s 10th edition.
A professional wrestler since 2009, Sterling had an excellent run at 2025 Super Strong Style 16, defeating Simon Miller and Will Kroos before narrowly falling to eventual champion Man Like DeReiss in the semi-final, so he will be looking to advance further this time around.
Having appeared over 40 times in PROGRESS either as a singles competitor or as a Tag Team duo with Smokin Aces, Sterling now turns his attention to a showdown against Lio Rush in the quarter-finals at Camden’s Electric Ballroom.
Lio Rush
Lio Rush is one of the most explosive and charismatic wrestlers on the scene, combining blistering speed with a high-risk style that has made him one to watch heading into his appearance at Super Strong Style 16. A former NXT Cruiserweight Champion, ROH Top Prospect Tournament winner and CZW World Heavyweight Champion, the “Man of the Hour” has built a reputation for delivering fast, inventive and crowd-pleasing performances.
Ahead of Super Strong Style 16, Rush brings serious tournament pedigree and plenty of experience, having featured in WWE and AEW alongside PROGRESS. He now meets Charlie Sterling in the quarter-finals, where his pace and creativity could prove decisive in another big tournament run.
Elijah Blum
Elijah Blum takes to the Super Strong Style 16 stage after becoming the first man to book his place in the competition’s quarter-finals back in January.
The German wrestler beat Bobby Gunns at wXw’s We Love Wrestling in Rüthen, Germany, back in January, which started his SSS16 journey which has led him to the famous Electric Ballroom in Camden.
Blum, one of the ones to watch in European Wrestling, arrives in London for the May Bank Holiday showpiece in form. Awaiting him is PROGRESS fan favourite, Charles Crowley, for what promises to be an exciting battle in the PROGRESS ring.
Spike Trivet
Spike Trivet is one of the most notorious and distinctive heels on the British wrestling scene, bringing menace, mind games and a ruthless edge to every match. The Cambridge-born wrestler made his PROGRESS debut in 2016 and went on to become one of the promotion’s defining figures, capturing the PROGRESS World Championship and spending much of his run at the centre of major storylines. Nicknamed “The Vulture”, Trivet combines opportunism with a grim, calculated style that has made him a dangerous opponent in tournament settings.
He has also proven he can deliver in big match environments across the UK and Europe, earning a reputation as a performer who thrives under pressure. Heading into Super Strong Style 16, Trivet carries the experience, confidence and credibility of a former champion, making him a major threat to Peter Tihanyi.
Simon Miller
Simon Miller is synonymous with wrestling for British fans. His PROGRESS career began when he debuted in 2022. In just two years Miller has grown from a newcomer to becoming a serious contender. Notably, Miller won the PROGRESS Proteus Championship in October 2024.
Miller also goes by the moniker of “Master of the Ups and Downs,” which captures the core of his identity as a wrestler. It is his dedication, humour, and ‘underdog’ mentality that have allowed him to connect with the audience throughout the United Kingdom. Miller’s transition from being a host to a competitor was a major component of his story within PROGRESS. Miller’s time competing in PROGRESS has included high profile matches, titles successes and a desire to continue bettering himself as a competitor.
As Miller heads into Super Strong Style 16 against Jay Joshua, he brings experience, momentum and a lot to prove. Due to injury, Miller missed the event last year; therefore, it will be exciting to see if he can prove that he belongs at the summit and reign supreme at Super Strong Style 16.
Jay Joshua
Jay Joshua is going into the quarter-finals of Super Strong Style 16, which will be his first match since breaking onto the British wrestling scene. He was able to build up momentum for this quarter final against Simon Miller. Jay is known for his physically tough, high technical standard matches all over the UK’s independent circuit and made a huge impact.
Firstly, he became co-holder of the Undisputed British Tag Team Championships (with Connor Mills), then he won the Undisputed British Heavyweight Title. Before coming into Super Strong Style 16 this year, Joshua already had some form of success, after beating Kid Lykos II in Round One. In his match against Simon Miller, Joshua faces an experienced wrestler, but because of his ability to use speed, strength and accuracy, he could easily make it further than just the round of eight.
Peter Tihanyi
Peter Tihanyi is one of Europe’s most exciting rising stars, bringing a fast-paced, hard-hitting style to every match. The Hungarian standout has built his reputation across HCW, GWF, wXw, and PROGRESS, where he has captured multiple championships and earned a place among the continent’s elite.
Known for his intensity, technical sharpness, and ability to rise in big-match settings, Tihanyi has proven he can thrive against top international names. Ahead of his Super Strong Style 16 clash with Spike Trivet, he arrives with momentum, confidence, and the experience of wrestling at the highest level. With a résumé that includes title wins, tournament success, and standout performances against some of Europe’s best, Tihanyi looks fully prepared for another breakthrough moment on the PROGRESS stage.
WOMEN’S
Rhio
A former PROGRESS Women’s World Champion, Rhio has already proved she can thrive in big-match situations, including ladder matches and title defences where the stakes are at their highest. Her style is hard-hitting and relentless, but it is matched by composure and experience that have grown as her career has developed.
Ahead of her clash with Stephanie Maze, Preston-born Rhio brings the aura of a proven champion who is used to making history and rising to the moment. That combination of confidence, toughness and championship pedigree makes her a dangerous opponent for anyone standing across the ring.
LA Taylor
Taylor has quickly become one of Britain’s biggest threats in the world of professional wrestling with her massive size, incredible strength, and an unrelenting “no nonsense” style in every single bout.

Since making her debut in 2019, Taylor has accumulated numerous titles throughout the U.K, both individually and as part of a tag-team, and has developed an aura about her as a consistent threat to anyone else in the women’s division.
Taylor is one of the strongest contenders heading into the very first ever women’s Super Strong Style 16 tournament, where former WWE star Shotzi Blackheart awaits.

Before taking on LA Taylor at this year’s Super Strong Style 16, Shotzi will be coming into the event off good momentum and looking to prove something aiming to write herself into the history books. PROGRESS has noted that she returns to the tournament after gaining some international experience and with a goal to write herself into the record books. Given the combination of superstar appeal, edginess and motivation, Shotzi will likely be one of the main draws on the card.

Prior to her quarter-final bout at Super Strong Style 16, Smitson defeated Anita Vaughan, and she now has an opportunity to be considered as a top contender on one of PROGRESS’ largest platforms. It is this combination of experience, accuracy, and desire that will create a formidable force when she steps into the ring against Gisele Shaw.
Gisele Shaw
Gisele Shaw is coming into Super Strong Style 16 as one of the best known and most successful international female wrestlers in the world. As a Filipino-Canadian wrestler, Gisele’s established herself with strong performances all over the globe. Kanji will enter the inaugural women’s Super Strong Style 16 tournament with a wealth of experience competing in high stakes matches & a proven track record.
