As PROGRESS gears up for Chapter 173: Stay Young & Invincible, Myles Kayman makes his highly anticipated return, with his eyes firmly set on making an impact. Kayman first burst onto the PROGRESS scene nearly toppling the current Men’s World Champion Luke Jacobs in his debut, and now he’s back to show fans exactly why he’s a threat to the top of the card. For those who haven’t seen him yet, Kayman promises a performance that will captivate from the moment he steps through the curtain.
In this exclusive interview, Kayman talks about his upcoming intense clash with Connor Mills in Manchester’s O2 Ritz on Sunday November 17th, and the lessons he took from his debut showdown with Luke Jacobs. Fresh off a big win at the NORTH NCL Cup, where he overcame big names like Trent Seven, Kayman comes into PROGRESS with renewed confidence and a clear message: he’s not here to be overlooked. With his sights set firmly on the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship, Kayman makes it clear that his journey has only just begun. This time, he’s ready to shake things up and put the locker room on notice…
First off, how does it feel to be returning to PROGRESS at Chapter 173, and for those fans that haven’t seen you yet, what can they expect?
It feels great to be back at PROGRESS, after nearly beating the current PROGRESS Men’s World Champion on my debut it’s a long overdue return. Those that haven’t seen me can expect me to put on a show, to be captivated from the time I walk out for my entrance to the time I go back through the curtain.
Manchester is known for its passionate wrestling fans. What’s been your experience with the crowds there, and what are you expecting from them when you step into the ring at the O2 Ritz?
Manchester crowds are always loud and passionate, they may love me or hate me – but they’ll be loud.
You’re set to face Connor Mills at Chapter 173. What are your thoughts on him as an opponent?
Connor Mills is one of the best in the country, that’s been known for quite some while. I’m expecting it to be an intense match.
Looking back at your debut match in PROGRESS against Luke Jacobs, what did you take away from that experience, and how has it shaped you as a competitor?
My match with Luke Jacobs proved that I could go in there with the best and put on a show. Just ask anyone’s reaction to that match and they’ll tell you the same thing. So I know I’ll walk into Chapter 173 in Manchester with the same confidence I did against Luke.
You recently won the NORTH NCL Cup – a huge accomplishment. What did that victory mean to you, and how has it influenced your approach moving forward?
It was a very important day and a proud moment for me. Beating people like Trent Seven again showed I could go in there with the guys at the top. If anything it’s made me even more confident going forward. It helped me establish myself as someone to be taken seriously.
What are your hopes and ambitions for your future in PROGRESS Wrestling? Are there specific goals or rivalries you’re aiming for?
I want the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship. I nearly beat the current champ so why couldn’t I beat him the next time with his gold on the line? I’ll make my intentions very clear once I beat Connor Mills at chapter 173.
