Simon Miller wants to make amends at Chapter 193: PROGRESS Las Vegas

Simon Miller is anticipating a “surreal” atmosphere in Las Vegas when he steps into the ring for Chapter 193: PROGRESS Las Vegas on Thursday 16th April as PROGRESS Wrestling lands stateside for an unmissable show!

Miller, a well-known face to PROGRESS fans, will take on Danny Jones as he wrestles in Vegas for the second consecutive year.

With WrestleMania 42 just around the corner, PROGRESS once again makes its mark on Vegas with an unmissable show at The Horseshoe, Las Vegas as part of GCW’s The Collective, which gets underway at 11am (7pm UK time). SoCal Val will be the special guest host and PROGRESS have Joe Dombrowski and D’lo Brown on commentary as the countdown to the big Mania weekend intensifies.

Starting from just $25, fans can secure their seats for an epic show by clicking here.

Speaking prior to heading out to the United States, Miller wants to avenge his defeat in the Proteus Championship from April 2025, where he lost out to Paul Walter Hauser, and he is now plotting to make amends.

Miller told progresswrestling.com: “It feels very surreal to get to go back to Vegas. It wasn’t all peaches and cream last time as I lost my Proteus Title but in terms of an experience it was awesome. To get to do a round two and try to make amends for that, well that’s what life is all about as we get super corny.

“You fall down, you have a year of extra experience, and you try again. Vegas has always been a place for the biggest sporting events in the world so now I can just tell people I was part of keeping that dream alive. Genuinely, though. I feel privileged to be part of the show.

“I think it’s on every wrestler’s list when they get into the industry. There are certain tick boxes, and one is performing over WrestleMania weekend which has become almost a hallowed time for wrestling. If you’re able to get on a few shows then you’ve must have done something right. It’s why I’m honoured I get to do that with Progress. I’ve always seen it as my home promotion, so to get to perform with them but on a Vegas stage, it’s a good feeling. Tell your brain maybe we did alright. And sure, maybe we didn’t but it’s a good way to at least confuse yourself.

“Even with the loss of my Proteus title the experience was great. The venue, the other wrestlers I bumped into backstage and got to catch up with, saying hello to Paul Walter Hauser for the first time. He won the championship that night, but I respect the guy. He works hard and that’s why he is where he is right now. Doesn’t happen by accident. It just felt like a weekend you wanted to be involved with. I’m genuinely flattered I got to do it once and now twice. I don’t take it for granted. The fans in the USA as well. It blows my mind they would even know who I am, so to get the warm reception that I did.”

Following his fight in Las Vegas, attention will soon turn to Super Strong Style 16 which will take place on May’s early Bank Holiday Weekend at the Electric Ballroom.

Having advanced into the next round of the competition, Miller is now targeting the SSS16 tournament, with the winner to be crowned under the famous Ballroom lights in Camden.

“So far at least I have a pattern. 2024, out with injury. 2025, out the first round after being dropped on my head. 2026, through the first round and into the later rounds. Ironically, I believe that’s called progress. That’s my main goal this time around as well. Just do more than I did 12 months ago and make sure you do more still in 2027. I’m taking it very seriously, though. I’m not entirely sure what I would do if I don’t have a good tournament. Be sad. Then what?

“I need to ask what the finer wording is, but what if someone won SSS16 and then went after the Proteus Title. Doesn’t mean I’m not interested in the World Championship. Of course, I am but as an idea it intrigues me. There’s more than one way to go about it, and there’s more than one way to win Strong Style. I’ll throw a potato at someone if that works. No more mucking around.”
