PROGRESS Wrestling returns to Birmingham this Saturday, 9th September at the 02 Academy. Chapter 155: Feel The Noize will be our first time back in Birmingham since September last year where we had former PROGRESS Tag Team Champions Aussie Open on the card.
This coming weekend, we are very excited to bring you a stacked card featuring some of the best talent in the UK as well as contracted wrestlers from AEW and Pro Wrestling NOAH.
PROGRESS WRESTLING CHAPTER 155 CARD
PROGRESS ATLAS TITLE MATCH:
RICKY KNIGHT JR (C) VS YOSHIKI INAMURA
Ricky Knight Jr has defeated some big, beefy men in the ATLAS division as our champion, including Big Damo and Davey Boy Smith Jr but in Birmingham he possibly faces his most mammoth test yet when Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura makes his PROGRESS Wrestling debut. Will we see a new champion crowned in Birmingham or will the Knight family be celebrating again, just like they were at Wembley Stadium at AEW All In?
BIG DAMO VS BRIAN CAGE
Talking of PROGRESS Wrestling debuts, we are delighted to say that AEW and ROH star Brian Cage will be appearing in Birmingham at Chapter 155: Feel The Noize. He will be taking on a man that has become a locker room leader in PROGRESS Wrestling, Big Damo. This one couldn’t feel more ATLAS Title. Will the winner have eyes on who comes out on top in the title match?
KID LYKOS VS DRILLA MOLONEY
Kid Lykos has had an incredible 2023 in PROGRESS Wrestling so far. The current #1 contender for the Men’s PROGRESS Wrestling Championship after winning a gruelling Super Strong Style 16 tournament. He has named September 24th as the date that he will face Spike Trivet for that title, but before then he faces Drilla Moloney in Birmingham. A wrestler who has plenty of history with Spike Trivet, including the Vulture costing him the PROGRESS Championship. However, the recent name change for Moloney has also come with an attitude change and who knows what side of Moloney that Lykos will face at Chapter 155?
SPIKE TRIVET VS LUKE JACOBS
Spike Trivet has recently passed a whole calendar year as PROGRESS Champion and his faction Dominatus Regnum created a horror show for PROGRESS Wrestling fans with their beatdown on Lykos Gym at our last chapter in Camden. The dominant champion was feeling rather smug after that but Lykos Gym have friends and count former PROGRESS ATLAS Champion Luke Jacobs as one of them. Can Jacobs use his brute force to exact a measure of revenge for his pals heading into the big PROGRESS Championship match between Trivet and Kid Lykos at Chapter 157?
KID LYKOS II VS BULLIT
Kid Lykos II faced Men’s PROGRESS Champion Spike Trivet at the last chapter and gave a valiant fight, before ending up on the losing end. His day went from bad to worse when attempting to save Kid Lykos from a post match beatdown from Dominatus Regnum and ended up taking a brainbuster on a chair from Spike Trivet. Kid Lykos II may be small in stature, but he is big in heart and he is facing the One Man Armoury Bullit in an attempt to show his willing. Will he pick up his first 1 vs 1 singles win? Or will he be overpowered by Bullit?
RENEE MICHELLE VS RHIO
We have ourselves another PROGRESS Wrestling debut in Birmingham, with Renee Michelle returning to her husband’s hometown of Birmingham. The American native, who has appeared in AEW this past year and competed in the 2017 Mae Young Classic will offer stiff competition for Rhio… who still holds the Thunderbastard key after her win in January. Will Rhio continue her winning streak in PROGRESS Wrestling, or will Renee Michelle make an instant impression?
SESSION MOTH MARTINA VS LIZZY EVO
Lizzy Evo returned to PROGRESS Wrestling after a six month absence with a chip on her shoulder at our last chapter, but that focus saw her defeat the much loved former Women’s PROGRESS Champion Kanji with a devastating knee strike. Speaking after that match she said “Throw the next best thing at me, because I’m ready for anything.” Well next up, she faces the AEW All In Stadium Stampede barmaid, Session Moth Martina. Will the Moth take Lizzy’s eye off the ball with her antics or will Evo prove once again she is here to stay?
MARK HASKINS VS MAN LIKE DEREISS
Hometown hero Man Like Dereiss returns to Birmingham with PROGRESS Wrestling for the first time since his controversial, but unsuccessful attempt to win the Men’s PROGRESS Championship from Spike Trivet. This time around he faces a legend of PROGRESS Wrestling in former champion, Mark Haskins. After some time away, Haskins has had a fantastic 2023 including reaching the final of the Super Strong Style tournament and main eventing both our joint DEFY show against KENTA and Chapter 154 against Dereiss’ stablemate Leon Slater. Will MLD stop Haskins’ momentum on home turf? Or will he face heartbreak in 0121 again?
