Rhio Calls Out the PROGRESS Women’s Division for Chapter 182: “Who’s Going to Step Up?”
Rhio Calls Out the PROGRESS Women’s Division for Chapter 182: “Who’s Going to Step Up?” Fresh off a whirlwind flight and just minutes after stepping off commentary, PROGRESS Women’s World Champion Rhio issued a powerful statement backstage at Chapter 181: Far From Ordinary People and the message was loud and clear: it’s time for the PROGRESS Women’s Division to raise the bar.
“I only landed at Manchester Airport at 3.30 today and I got to the Ritz at 4 because I wanted to see where this division is at” said Rhio, moments after calling the Hollie Barlow vs Alexxis Falcon match from ringside. “Nina and Kanji is done for me. I don’t want to be that anymore. I’ve said it time and time again – this division is the best in Europe… the best in the world. But for us to keep saying that, we need to back it up.”
Rhio’s message wasn’t just about competition – it was about accountability, legacy, and raising standards. As the reigning Women’s World Champion, she’s made it her mission to not only defend the title, but to ensure the entire division evolves with it. From rookies to veterans, Rhio made it clear: everyone in the locker room is on notice.
“I’m keeping an eye on everyone coming through the door of PROGRESS. We have a responsibility, we have a status and we need to uphold it. I can’t do that on my own. So who’s next? Who’s going to step up? Let’s get it.”
With Chapter 182: Stay Humble on the horizon — live from the Electric Ballroom in London on Sunday, 27 July — the question now looms: who will answer Rhio’s call? Will it be a rising star like Hollie Barlow? A returning name from the past? Or someone unexpected ready to shake the foundation of the women’s division?
The challenge has been laid down. Now it’s time to see who has the courage and the calibre to meet it.
