Nina Samuels Picks Lana Austin as Her Poison, Will Face Kanji at PROGRESS Chapter 181
The war of words between Nina Samuels and Kanji has taken another intense turn as Samuels has officially selected Lana Austin to face Kanji in a high-stakes “Pick Your Poison” match at PROGRESS Chapter 181: Far From Ordinary People, set for Sunday 29 June at Manchester’s O2 Ritz.
Following her crushing defeat at Chapter 180 in a Title vs. Career match with Kanji controversially serving as special guest referee. Samuels wasted no time in continuing the psychological warfare. With both women set to clash in a Loser Leaves PROGRESS match at Chapter 182, Samuels now has her sights set on weakening Kanji beforehand.
“Nina Samuels, I choose the woman who has beaten you not once, not twice but SIX times,” Samuels declared, revealing Lana Austin as her handpicked opponent for Kanji.
Austin, herself a former PROGRESS Women’s World Champion, has long held the edge in her heated rivalry with Kanji. Their history is filled with close contests and bitter defeats, with Austin regularly emerging victorious—including when she took the title from Kanji at Chapter 146.
This match represents a mental and physical challenge for Kanji. Breaking her losing streak against Austin would be a monumental statement and a key momentum shift ahead of her career-defining clash with Samuels at Chapter 182.
Chapter 181: Far From Ordinary People is shaping up to be anything but ordinary!
