Rhio Challenges Kanji to a Title Match at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 183: 100 Volts

PROGRESS Women’s Champion Rhio has issued a formal challenge to Kanji following their controversial triple threat match at Chapter 182: Stay Humble. The match is officially set as a one-on-one title bout at Chapter 183: 100 Volts on 25 August.

What Happened at PROGRESS Wrestling Stay Humble?

At Chapter 182 on 27 July, Rhio defended her PROGRESS Women’s World Championship in a triple threat against Rayne Leverkusen and Kanji. After nearly 15 minutes of intense action, including suplexes, dropkicks and submission exchanges, the match ended in a draw, meaning Rhio retained her title. The match was worthy of the main event and proved why the women have EARNED their Super Strong Style tournament next year, but mired in controversy.

With both Rhio and Kanji pinning the very impressive Rayne Leverkusen, the crowd showed their displeasure at the oiutcome oif a draw and Rhio was defiant in her post-match remarks, stating that “my shoulders were not on the mat” and questioning how the result had been called.

The Challenge Is Issued

Immediately after the match, Rhio grabbed the microphone and laid down a challenge to Kanji, demanding a singles rematch at Chapter 183. She expressed her frustration at the draw and said she was done with the disrespect. Rhio warned Kanji not to hold her responsible for how the next encounter ends.
