Big Damo is a prominent figure in the world of professional wrestling. From his debut in PROGRESS Wrestling in 2015 to his most recent accomplishments, Big Damo has left a lasting impact on the wrestling industry.
In 2015, Big Damo burst onto the scene in PROGRESS Wrestling. The Irish wrestler showcased his immense size, agility and charisma from the very beginning.
In 2017, WWE took notice of Big Damo’s potential and signed him to their developmental territory, NXT. Under the new ring name Killian Dain, he became part of the infamous faction known as SAnitY teaming up with Eric Young, Nikki Cross and Alexander Wolfe (Axel Tischer).
After several years with WWE, Killian Dain’s journey took an unexpected turn in 2021 when he parted ways with the company. However, true to his resilient spirit, Big Damo did not stay away from the wrestling scene for long. In 2022 Big Damo made a triumphant return to PROGRESS Wrestling, much to the delight of the fans all around the world.
Big Damo made his PROGRESS Wrestling return in 2022 appearing in the PROGRESS ATLAS tournament only coming up short to Luke Jacobs, who went on to become the tournament’s eventual winner.
Damo then competed in Chapter 133, Stop Motion Skeleton Battle, where he teamed up with former SAnitY tag team partner Axel Tischer (Alexander Wolfe). They faced Love Island star Adam Maxted and Joe Hendry who is currently signed to IMPACT. Joe Hendry is currently the IMPACT Digital Media Championship in 2023.
Big Damo then went on to compete in Super Strong Style 16 in 2022 in a packed tournament in which he took on Dean Allmark and Warren Banks.
At Chapter 137, The Deadly Viper Tour: CODENAME: COPPERHEAD, Big Damo would make history beating Chris Ridgeway to become the NEW PROGRESS Men’s World Champion. Big Damo made PROGRESS History by winning the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship for the first time outside of the PROGRESS Wrestling home venue, London and specifically the Electric Ballroom.
Big Damo’s run as the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship came to a shocking conclusion at Chapter 139, Warrior’s Come Out To Play. Big Damo defended the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship against 0121 and now Bullet Club Dan Moloney. Towards the end of the match, The Vulture of PROGRESS Wrestling, Spike Trivet, used the key to cash in his title shot against Big Damo. Spike Trivet was successful with his cash in and became the new PROGRESS Men’s World Champion leaving the feud between Big Damo and Spike Trivet to continue further.
At Chapter 142, CODENAME: CALIFORNIA MOUNTAIN SNAKE, Big Damo made PROGRESS History again by defeating Luke Jacobs to become the NEW PROGRESS ATLAS Champion. Big Damo became the fastest wrestler in PROGRESS History to gain both the ATLAS Championship & the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship in such a short space of time.
Big Damo went on to hold the PROGRESS ATLAS Championship until Chapter 150, When The Man Comes Around. In an incredible battle with RKJ, he would lose the PROGRESS ATLAS Championship to Ricky Knight Jr.
Big Damo then went on to entering Super Strong Style 16 2023 taking on Kid Lykos who went on to become the tournament’s eventual winner.
Big Damo’s journey from his debut in PROGRESS Wrestling to his time in WWE along with his Big Damo AEW stint and his eventual return to the promotion has been filled with triumphs and challenges. His unique blend of power and agility has earned him a devoted fan base and cemented his place in wrestling history. As he continues to make an impact in the industry, the legacy of Killian Dain, now Big Damo, is sure to endure because nobody in PROGRESS history has held both major men’s championships in such a short space of time.
He reunited with SAnitY in PROGRESS, where he and Axel Tischer went on to win the Tag Team Championships in Philadelphia.

Big Damo made PROGRESS History by obtaining the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship & The PROGRESS ATLAS Championship outside of PROGRESS Wrestling’s London Home venue, The Electric Ballroom.
Big Damo also made PROGRESS Wrestling history a second time by becoming the fastest within the PROGRESS men’s roster to gain the PROGRESS ATLAS Championship & the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship.
