Fresh off the heels of the monumental TWISTED METAL event, anticipation is high for what surprises await at FOR THE LOVE OF PROGRESS 2.
Lykos Gym Vs Grizzled Young Veterans
At Chapter 163: TWISTED METAL, Kid Lykos became the NEW PROGRESS Men’s World Champion by defeating Spike Trivet in a Steel Cage Match.
Kid Lykos II also secured a victory by being the first wrestler in PROGRESS Wrestling to pin the one man armoury, Bullit.
Following their impressive victories, Lykos Gym want to remind everyone they they are one of the top tag teams in PROGRESS – a reminder in particular to the newly crowned Tag Champions, the Cheeky Little Buggers.
They will face the Grizzled Young Veterans – no stranger to title belts – in a highly anticipated match.

Alex Hammerstone issued a challenge to the PROGRESS ATLAS Champion, Ricky Knight Jr.

Alex noted that RKJ has defended against the likes of Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Shigehiro Irie & stated that RKJ has never faced anyone like him.

PROGRESS Women’s World Championship Match
Rhio defended her PROGRESS Women’s World Championship against Emersyn Jayne at TWISTED METAL, although Nina Samuels intervention, attacking Rhio, resulted in a disqualification for Emersyn, and took a little shine off Rhio’s victory.
Rhio is ready to re-affirm her credentials, a now, it’s Debbie Keitel’s turn.
Debbie made her debut at Chapter 125, where she challenged Gisele Shaw for the PROGRESS Women’s World Championship. Will Debbie succeed this time around, or will Nina Samuels be lurking to disrupt and cause trouble for Rhio?

Simon Miller picked up his first singles victory at TWISTED METAL when he defeated Rob Drake.

Connor Mills had a notable moment at THE LIGHT OF THE DRAGON, where he unleashed his fury after being eliminated from the THUNDERBASTARD match, attacking everyone in sight.

Session Moth Martina & Gene Munny Vs Lana Austin & Rob Drake
At TWISTED METAL, Session Moth Martina was scheduled to team up with Gene Munny to take on the Cheeky Little Buggers. However, due to a string of unfortunate events, Session Moth Martina didn’t arrive until after the show had ended. Gene expressed his frustration about teaming up with Session Moth but has decided to give her another opportunity to make amends. Eddie Dennis and Big Damo face off for the first time ever in a match at PROGRESS Wrestling.
Big Damo recently suffered a defeat at TWISTED METAL, where Smokin’ Aces resorted to cheating to retain the PROGRESS World Tag Team Championships.
Eddie has declared that his focus is now on the Super Strong Style 16. He is determined to defeat Big Damo, win SSS16 2024, and then reclaim his PROGRESS World Championship from the new titleholder, Kid Lykos.
